My name is Sharon and I am 42 in May this year, I have been riding since I was 8 years of age and I own a 14 year old Standardbred Dante who is lovely. I have always been interested in western riding and going to be giving it a go as soon as possible to see how I like it. i.m soon to be 45 and had ponies as a child and teenager, never actualy was taught to ride. but year and a half ago my 4 year old started lessons so i got back to it, bought my pride and joy saxon 18 months ago he's a clydesdale cross and we get on brilliantly. my daughter now6 has a welsh pony and we livery at ladyleys oldmeldrum |

i am argentine and we use to breed criollos (mustangs) in our ranch in the cordoba sierras in argentina. i grew up riding horses and working cattle in the 3000 ha ranch. i am living in scotland now, after i get married with a lovely scotish lady, and i have 2 girls. i work as a profecional polo player and i school and back horses for polo that i sell in scotland and england in the spring ans summer mainly. but my hart is in chassing cattle in the mountains lot more than in the polo pitch. that is why i enjoy so much doing youngsters cheers luis |

There is always something to learn, new ideas or new ways of doing things, horses are like people they are all individuals, what works for one, may not work for another, yes you can make a horse do something, but its a whole different ball game when the horse wants to do it for you , I often find that ' the know alls' in fact alas usually know very little . I was very pleased to see that the BHS have started listening to Mony Roberts, so perhaps they will now take on board that there is no hard and fast rule of doing things, as long as it works for you to be able to achieve the required results with a happy horse,thats what its all about , after all riding should be fun for both horse and rider,;)
